About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups basmati rice

  • 1 Chinese flavour pack

  • 300g diced chicken or tofu

  • 1 ½ cups water

  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • Optional: spring onion to garnish

Preparation

  1. Rinse rice and place into rice cooker.

  2. Add chicken or tofu, vegetables, water, soy sauce, sesame oil, and flavour pack.

  3. Stir to combine.

  4. Close lid and cook on 'White Rice' setting.

  5. Fluff and serve with spring onion garnish.


⚠️ Rice Cooker Tips:


• Our recipes are tested in a standard 1.8 L rice cooker.

• Smaller or older cookers may run hotter – add a splash more water if needed.

• If your cooker tends to stick, give it a gentle stir halfway through cooking.

• Always check that food is cooked through before serving.
