About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups basmati rice (washed well)

  • 1 Yes! Indian rice cooker flavour pack

  • 400g diced chicken, paneer, or chickpeas

  • 1 can (400ml) coconut milk or cream

  • 1 ½ cups water

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 tbsp butter or ghee

  • Optional: coriander to garnish

Preparation

  1. Add rice, protein, coconut milk, water, tomato paste, butter or ghee, and flavour pack into rice cooker.

  2. Stir gently to combine.

  3. Close lid and cook on 'White Rice' setting.

  4. Fluff and serve with fresh coriander.


Serve with naan bread or roti for a complete meal.


⚠️ Rice Cooker Tips:


• Our recipes are tested in a standard 1.8 L rice cooker.

• Smaller or older cookers may run hotter – add a splash more water if needed.

• If your cooker tends to stick, give it a gentle stir halfway through cooking.

• Always check that food is cooked through before serving.
